Teen therapy that works.

Adolescence is a time of big changes, big emotions, and yes, sometimes big messes. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make sense of it all. In our sessions, I will weave together conversation with games and creative activities to help your teen process what they’re going through in a way that feels authentic to them.

Whether they need to talk things through or get hands-on with art, journaling, or other interactive outlets, we’ll work together to find what clicks. It’s all about helping your teen build the confidence and self-awareness they need to feel prepared for whatever comes next—and have a little fun along the way.

Being a teen, or the parent of one, can be tough.

It might feel like the child you once knew is slipping away as your teen starts spreading their wings and seeking independence. For parents, this time often brings up worries, confusion, and frustration. For teens, it’s a period of self-discovery and navigating big emotions.

As they carve out their own identity, teens need space to explore who they are, but they also need connection to figure out where they’re headed. Even though it might not always seem like it, your teen still needs you—just in a different way.

While adolescence can feel challenging and messy at times, it’s also full of possibility. With therapy for your teen and support for you as a parent, I can help your family find more balance during this dynamic time.

The teenage brain is not broken. It’s under construction, and that means it’s capable of tremendous growth.”

What to expect

1. Getting started

Once your appointment is confirmed, you’ll receive an email inviting you to access the client portal. This user-friendly platform lets you complete the intake paperwork online before we meet. Doing this in advance helps me learn about your teen’s needs and background, and allows us make the most of our time together. If you have any questions while filling out the paperwork, don’t hesitate to reach out!

2. Parent intake session

We’ll begin with a one-hour parent-only intake session, which helps create a foundation for your teen’s therapy. This is an opportunity for you to share your concerns, history, and other important details about your family. This is also a great time to ask any questions you might have about the therapy process, clarify goals for our work together, and explore effective ways to support your teen.

3. Individual sessions

In our sessions, your teen will have the freedom to express themselves in a way that feels natural as I use a mix of conversation, games, and creative activities. From the very first meeting, my goal is to build a strong relationship where your teen feels seen, heard, and understood. I will use a customized approach to help them explore their thoughts and feelings and develop greater self-awareness. We’ll navigate the hard stuff and build on the strengths they already have.

4. Ongoing parent support

To support your teen’s growth while respecting their independence, we’ll meet for parent check-ins as needed. These check-ins are an opportunity to discuss how things are going and identify ways to best support your teen at home. While I maintain confidentiality for your teen, these check-ins ensure you stay involved without compromising their need for autonomy. We’ll work together to balance connection and independence in their therapeutic process.
